Headaches, Hand Pain and Humidity in HOTLANTA

Its July in Atlanta and as always....its unbearably hot. But not only is it hot; it is so HUMID it feels like walking into a bowl of soup as you walk out the door. You may also notice your body expressing many symptoms that are not usual for you such as HEADACHES, unusual HAND PAIN, and aching KNEES, BACKS and NECKS. Furthermore, you may notice that your normal daily workout routine is greatly more difficult than usual and you are more fatigued. This can be frustrating.

All of the above mentioned symptoms and more are for the reason that  there are NERVES in your JOINTS that are called barorecptors; they respond to changes in barometric changes in weather.

        So what is the solution?????

        1) Hydration- DOUBLE your intake of water. The more hydrated you are, the more lubrication your joints will have to combat the changes in pressure.

        2) ICE after workouts: wherever your sensitive tissues are will be the first ones to experience pain with pressure changes. Ice will reduce inflammation in the joints.

        3) Keep mobility in the joints. And yes I mean CHIROPRACTIC ! Chiropractic realigns the joints of the spine and EXTREMITIES, taking the pressure off of the nerves and helps with that irritation from the increased pressure.

As always feel free to call me with any questions or a consultation.
